How are applicants considered?
All applications are considered on the basis of aptitude and achievement tests, recommendations, previous report cards, and the result of any admission testing.
A student's previous educational records and behavioral patterns are all considered in the acceptance process. The family must be in agreement with the Christian educational philosophy of Lafayette Christian Academy.

Open House for New Families

At Open House, we invite all prospective parents to experience life on LCA campus.  The event lasts about 1 and a half hours.  Students do not need to attend.  You would only need to attend one of the Open House events.  You must attend an Open House to be considered for admission into Lafayette Christian Academy.

PreK and Kindergarten:           November 28 and January 11 @ 9 am only. 
1st-12th Grades:                          November 30 and January 9 @ 9 am or 6 pm.

General Admission Requirements
  • Regularly attend a local church
  • Complete testing and application
  • Participate in interview with student and parent(s)
  • Provide a receipt of school records
  • K4 students must be four years old by September 30
  • K5 students must be five years old by September 30
  • Transferring students must have a good disciplinary record 
  • Transferring students must be on grade level or above of a national standardized achievement test

 We believe diversity in the classroom aids in understanding God’s world.

Foreign students who wish to join the student body at Lafayette Christian Academy  must agree to learn about Jesus Christ and have knowledge of the Bible.
Lafayette Christian Academy requires new International students to apply through an international student agency. The agency must be approved by the LHSAA of Louisiana for the student to be eligible to play sports.
Lafayette Christian Academy is an approved SEVP school with the United States Justice Department’s Student Exchange and Visitor Program (SEVP). Students must be accepted for admission to Lafayette Christian Academy before a VISA can be issued. 
Students must have a personal commitment to joining a private Christian school environment. Students will be required to take a placement test to assess whether their English and communication skills are adequate for the curriculum. These assessments will be done during a personal interview with the student prior to Admission.
